Skincare usually brings the face to mind, but hand and body skin also need care. Hands contact water, soap and environmental factors most throughout the day. Frequent washing, sanitiser use and cold weather can strain the hands' skin and cause dryness.
The basic approach for hands is a barrier-supported moisturiser after each wash — they need extra support in winter and with frequent water contact. Similar principles apply to body skin: gentle cleansing, lukewarm water, and moisturising while skin is still damp after showering.
Some body areas (elbows, knees, heels) are naturally drier and may need richer care. Emulsifier-free formulas with skin-identical lipids are barrier-friendly here too. For persistent, notable dryness, consult a physician.
